Rainbow Pin Cushion

I don’t know about you, but I have a particularly bad habit of losing sewing pins, only to be painfully reminded sometime later of their whereabouts!

To fix this problem , I’ve come up with this simple rainbow pin cushion! Ok, so I *say* pin cushion but in actual fact it’s just a small crochet rainbow plush- I guess it still counts right?

Finishing the edge

Using Yarn A, sew/crochet rows 1 and 63 of the edge piece (RS facing) together- edge is now a loop.

Weave in all ends.

Constructing your rainbow

You should now have three crochet pieces: 2 motifs and 1 continuous edge.

Place both rainbow motif pieces WS together. Separate the two pieces with the joining edge (match colours of edge to sides for correct placement) and pin into place.

How you join your pieces is completely up to you! I decided to slip stitch around the piece, making sure to change my yarn so it matches the stitches as I go for a seamless join!

Stuff with filling as you go and continue to sew/crochet the openings closed

And that’s it! 🙂 You now have a bright new addition to your crochet tool box!
